ACT seeks to achieve the best quality of life and care for every life-limited child/young person and their family. In order to achieve this throughout the UK and internationally ACT aims to:
- Campaign individually and within alliances to hold policy-makers to account for the development of integrated, equitable and sustainable children’s palliative care services.
- Lead and encourage the development and implementation of best practice in the delivery of children’s palliative care by working with health, social care and education professionals to instigate and produce resources and educational initiatives and develop and disseminate the evidence base of what works best.
- Ensuring that families, including young people, are empowered to have a voice in the development of children’s palliative care services and are provided with the information they need to access the best care and support.
- Ensure that ACT as an organisation is adequately resourced and recognised to achieve its objectives.
As a strong collective voice ACT can make a real difference to the lives of life-limited children, young people and their families.
Join ACT today and become a part of that voice.
